It's hard to believe that we are already about midway through the 2013 season. This group has been such an incredible joy to coach, and we could not be more excited about the successes we have had and even more about the progress we are making daily. They came back to preseason in the best shape of any Berry team to date, and it has shown in their high level of play over the last 6 weeks. We saw things in our practice gym and on the road in the first few weeks of the season that we were not seeing until the very end of last year. That is exciting stuff from a coach's perspective!
Our preseason schedule took us as far as Virginia and Texas, and our conference schedule has already taken us to Memphis and Arkansas. We are in the middle of a three week travel stint right now that makes me think we should be dubbed the 'Road Warriors.' Fortunately, this team gets along incredibly well and is able to enjoy even the mundane and annoying parts of travel. From finding interesting people to watch in the airport to finding ways to entertain ourselves when we have bus challenges to enjoying the sights and food of our locale, you can always count on this group to be entertaining and to be enjoying each other's company.
The 2013 edition of Berry volleyball has set some lofty goals for themselves, and our coaching staff is so excited to be on this journey with them.
